We're working with a leading international law firm seeking a Risk Administrator to join its growing Risk Management team in Liverpool for an initial 6 month contract. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in risk and compliance within a highly respected professional environment.
The Opportunity
As a Risk Administrator, you will support the Business Acceptance team with client and matter onboarding, conflict searches, information barriers, and a variety of risk-related administrative processes. You'll play a key role in ensuring regulatory and compliance procedures are managed efficiently while working closely with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Business Acceptance and wider Risk team.
- Monitor and manage the Risk inbox, allocating queries to the appropriate team members.
- Conduct conflict searches and review results, identifying and removing irrelevant matches where appropriate.
- Process amendments and change requests relating to existing clients and matters.
- Create, maintain, and update information barriers while escalating issues when required.
- Manage the firm's gifts and hospitality register, including reviewing submissions and responding to queries.
- Coordinate team meetings, agendas, and presentation materials.
- Carry out housekeeping and data management within client and matter inception systems to maintain efficient processes.
About You
- Previous administration experience is essential; risk or compliance experience would be advantageous but is not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse and present information clearly.
- Confident managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable, and keen to learn new systems and processes.
- A collaborative team player with a customer-focused approach.
- Interested in developing a long-term career within risk management and compliance.
- Experience working within a legal, professional services, or other regulated environment.
- Exposure to compliance databases, client onboarding, or risk-related systems would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
