The Opportunity

As a Procurement Business Partner
, you will oversee a portfolio of public sector clients, including local authorities and housing associations. You’ll work closely with senior internal and external stakeholders to manage, retain, and develop strategic accounts.

This is a high‑visibility, client‑facing role where your work will directly impact procurement outcomes, contract performance, service delivery, and long‑term account growth.

Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior public‑sector stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic conversations to retain and expand high‑value client partnerships.
  • Identify and convert upsell opportunities that add value and drive revenue.
Procurement & Commercial Delivery
  • Lead large, complex tenders from start to finish.
  • Conduct detailed spend, performance, and contract analysis to support informed decision‑making.
  • Ensure clients maximise value through procurement frameworks, DPS solutions, and innovative commercial models.
Strategic Leadership
  • Work collaboratively with senior procurement teams to influence strategy and encourage best practice.
  • Manage multiple procurement pipelines, ensuring all routes to market are compliant and efficient.
  • Provide insights, highlight risks, and deliver tailored commercial solutions.

Candidate Requirements
  • Strong understanding of procurement (public sector knowledge is advantageous).
  • Experience in procurement management, consultancy, or a client‑facing commercial role.
  • Confident influencing, challenging, and advising senior stakeholders.
  • Highly commercial with a consultative, solution‑led approach.
  • Strong analytical skills, including:
  • Data interpretation and reporting
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Motivated, energetic, and ambitious.
  • Experience working with local authorities, housing associations, or framework providers.
  • Experience handling large, complex tenders.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent.
