The Procurement Specialist will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service and value to the Group and will work in a Business Partner model to support Group functions in shaping supplier / category strategy, shaping contracts, implementing performance frameworks, ensuring compliance and supporting good ongoing governance. This role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, and compliance oversight to drive value across the Group.
Outcomesfor the role
- Support the development and execution of the Group’s procurement strategy
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier selection, RFPs, contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, onboarding and Governance
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and value delivery
- Drive cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency through strategic sourcing and process improvement
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track savings, supplier performance, and procurement activity
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs and budget objectives
- Ensure procurement activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Maintain accurate procurement data, including contracts, spend analysis, and third‑party risk documentation
- Operate independently to build procurement frameworks and influence senior stakeholders for successful outcomes
- Technology & Operational Insight – Experience working within a Finance/Technology function, understanding IT delivery, supplier management, risk, and governance
- Stakeholder Management & Communication – Strong ability to engage and influence senior technology leaders, suppliers, and finance teams, ensuring alignment and effective decision‑making
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- Worked in a procurement / supplier management role, ideally 3+ years experience.
- Financial services industry exposure ideal, although any procurement experience in a regulated industry would be of interest.
- Knowledge of FCA, PRA, EBA regulatory guidance and requirements for outsourcing and third‑party risk management (desirable).
