Registration Officer
We are looking for an experienced, flexible and self‑motivated person to join our team of Registration Officers on a 6‑month fixed‑term basis to support delivery of our service during the busy summer period.
Responsibilities- Register births, stillbirths, marriages, deaths and civil partnerships in accordance with current legislation.
- Conduct civil marriages and civil partnerships at the Register Office.
- Perform citizenship ceremonies and any other ceremonies offered by the Liverpool Registration Service at the Register Office and other approved premises.
- Provide excellent customer service, including working with customers whose first language is not English.
- Work 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis (typically one Saturday in four).
- Hold a current driving licence and have access to a car (desired).
- Previous experience working within a Register Office at the Registration Officer level is advantageous.
- Administrative background with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with non‑English‑speaking customers.
- Strong presentational skills.
- 35 hours per week on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Fixed‑term contract of 6 months covering the summer period.
- Standard rota includes one Saturday in four.
- Current driving licence required; access to a car is desirable.
- At least 27 days holiday, rising to 32 days after five years of service (pro‑rata if part‑time).
