PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This is a predominantly field based role involving regular travel to allocated Women’s Super League and Women’s Super League 2 clubs across the South. Regular attendance at PFA offices in London and Manchester will also be required for departmental meetings and organisational activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Member Representation & Case Management
  • Act as the key point of contact for allocated WSL and WSL2 clubs and their members, managing positive relationships

  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with current and former members throughout all stages of their careers

  • Provide independent advice on contracts, regulations, employment matters and player rights

  • Manage individual member casework - coordinating and progressing individual cases from initial enquiry through to resolution

  • Represent and accompany members in meetings where appropriate, including grievance, disciplinary and regulatory matters

  • Support players through significant career moments including injuries, retirement, transfers, contract negotiations and welfare concerns

  • Coordinate support across PFA departments to ensure members receive joined up, high-quality support services

Club Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Deliver regular visits to allocated clubs across the season

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with players, delegates, staff and senior club personnel

  • Deliver presentations to playing squads on PFA services, player rights and current industry developments

  • Promote awareness and uptake of PFA services and benefits

  • Support the election, development and ongoing engagement of PFA delegates

  • Maintain regular communication with clubs to identify emerging issues affecting members

Player Advocacy & Department Development
  • Identify trends and recurring issues affecting members and contribute insights to departmental planning and wider PFA advocacy

  • Support player consultation exercises, surveys and engagement projects to ensure the player voice informs decision making

  • Contribute to projects that improve standards across the women’s professional game

  • Contribute ideas towards the continuous improvement of departmental processes, member experience and service delivery

  • Maintain accurate records and case management using the PFA CRM

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop productive relationships with clubs, governing bodies and external organisations

  • Attend and contribute to meetings with key football stakeholders where appropriate

  • Represent the Women’s Football Department professionally at conferences, player events and industry forums

  • Support departmental projects including player events, awards, delegate meetings and educational workshops

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to successfully engage groups of professional athletes and senior stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Strong judgement and the ability to deal sensitively with confidential information

  • Ability to build trust and credibility with players, clubs and colleagues

  • A proactive, solutions focused approach to problem solving

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team

  • High standard of professionalism, integrity and discretion

  • Excellent written communication

  • A full UK driving license and willingness to travel
