Commercial Governance and Assurance Delivery lead

On behalf of Government Commercial Agency, we are looking for a Commercial Governance & Assurance Delivery Lead (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. This is a hybrid working (two days per week office based - Liverpool/Norwich/Newport or Birmingham).Government Commercial Agency (GCA) is the largest public procurement organisation in the UK.As a trading fund and executive agency of the Cabinet Office, we implement procurement policy on behalf of the government.

As a Commercial Governance & Assurance Delivery Lead, your main responsibilities will be:
* Application of Assurance Standards - Responsible for ensuring projects or activities have appropriate levels of assurance for the complexity of the project. Following local guidance on types of assurance activities and recording them in management documents as required.
* Planning - Responsible for leading a number of assurance activities across either one or several projects. Responsible for leading specific activities such as the review of management cases within business cases either at a local or department level.
* Results/Actions - Ensures that agreed actions are implemented, and that any lessons learned are applied to future change initiatives.
* Reporting - Leads the timely and accurate reporting of integrated assurance plans and milestones to support departmental or board level assurance activities.
* Areas for Assurance Evaluation - Key areas for evaluation in assurance reviews include:
Alignment with the business case; management processes; overall progress towards output in terms of time, cost & quality; stakeholder relationships & perceptions; final outcomes & lessons learned and benefits plans & realisation.
