About The Role

We are looking for full-time Children’s Residential Support Workers to join their team in Liverpool, working within family‑style residential homes. You will be supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a safe, caring, and supportive home environment
• Act as a positive role model and support everyday living needs
• Take part in fun and engaging activities such as football, gaming, bowling, and more
• Encourage hobbies, interests, and social interaction
• Assist with household tasks to maintain a clean and welcoming home
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
• Promote independence, confidence, and life skills
• Provide some personal care where required

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / or working towards it

• Caring, flexible, and resilient attitude
• Strong communication skills with a positive and energetic approach
• Willingness to work shifts, including sleep‑ins
• Ability to build supportive and professional relationships with young people
• Makaton or BSL skills are desirable but not essential

Experience working with Young People with Learning Difficulties or Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.
