I have an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor that turnover circa £30m per year. The company have a rich history and they have been around for many years, based in Oxford.

They are a family business committed to providing Client focused building services. They carry out a range of new build and refurbishment projects within a number of sectors encompassing Education, Historic Buildings, Healthcare, Research and Development, Commercial, Industrial and Defence.

They are looking to bring on a Trainee Quantity Surveyor that is hungry to learn and develop their career within the main contracting sector. They are open to taking somebody that is currently studying towards a HNC / HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, and are willing to pay towards the course. This is a great opportunity as they will be working on a mix of projects.

Criteria:

• Have obtained or studying towards a Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying
• Knowledge and understanding of measurement and valuation
• Commercial skills to maximise value recovery
• Understanding of Cost control
• Knowledge and understanding of administration of contract records
• Knowledge of construction
• Knowledge and understanding of contractual obligations
• Efficient at using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
