We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical building services on a new high‑rise commercial project in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering works on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day mechanical site activities from installation through to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate and supervise mechanical operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers on site.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and programme requirements.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Manage labour resources and material deliveries efficiently.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational issues as they arise.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, snagging, and final project handover.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within the building services or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plumbing, and mechanical installations.
- Experience delivering large-scale commercial or high‑rise projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Valid SMSTS certification.
- Valid CSCS card.
- First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
