Project Planner – Liverpool - Northwest

Gleeds is seeking an ambitious Project Planner to join our expanding Project Planning & Controls team in Liverpool.

Supporting our Lead Planner and Project Delivery Team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and analysing the integrated master schedules.

Working across multiple programme work streams—including Construction, Design, Digital, Equipping and Finance—you'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the programme remains robust, accurate and supports informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of the integrated programme master schedule.
  • Engage with the main works contractor, design consultants, project managers and other stakeholders to gather progress information and maintain programme integrity.
  • Identify schedule risks, opportunities and critical path impacts, providing timely analysis and recommendations.
  • Produce programme updates, reports and planning outputs to support project governance and decision-making.
  • Monitor programme performance and communicate key trends to the wider project team.
  • Contribute to programme assurance activities and continuous improvement of planning processes.

Who we’re looking for:

You'll be a proactive planner who enjoys working collaboratively and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in project planning on major construction, infrastructure or capital programmes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
    .
  • An understanding of programme controls, critical path analysis, progress measurement and schedule risk.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working under NEC contracts or within collaborative delivery environments would be advantageous.
  • Power BI experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications
  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or
  • MAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers) or
  • MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders)
  • PPC (Project Planning and Controls) Certification or
  • Other (specific to Project Planning and Scheduling
