CaSE is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management across major infrastructure, rail, highways, energy or civil engineering projects in the United Kingdom.
This role is suited to an experienced commercial professional who can manage project cost, contract administration, forecasting, subcontractor performance and change management. You will work closely with project managers, commercial leads, clients and delivery teams to provide clear commercial control across live projects.
The role requires strong NEC experience, robust reporting discipline and the ability to manage complex commercial issues in a major infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead commercial management across assigned projects or packages.
- Manage NEC contract administration, compensation events and change control.
- Prepare and present monthly cost reports, CVRs, forecasts and commercial updates.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, administration, valuations and final accounts.
- Assess variations, claims, payment applications and commercial correspondence.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities and cost exposures.
- Support dispute avoidance, claims preparation and commercial strategy.
- Work closely with project teams to understand programme, progress and delivery risks.
- Mentor Quantity Surveyors and support commercial capability development.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure contract compliance.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- MRICS or progression towards MRICS advantageous.
- Significant Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management experience.
- Strong infrastructure background across rail, highways, energy, utilities or major civil projects.
- Proven experience preparing CVRs, forecasts, payment applications and change assessments.
- Strong subcontract management and procurement experience.
- Ability to manage complex commercial issues and provide clear advice.
- Strong communication skills with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Practical, commercially disciplined and confident working in major project environments.
