Working Foreman – Commercial Refurbishment

We are looking for an experienced Working Foreman to oversee day-to-day site operations on commercial refurbishment project in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be hands-on, leading trades and subcontractors while ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate trades, subcontractors and site operatives.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the refurbishment site.
- Carry out hands-on work where required and lead by example.
- Read and work from drawings, specifications and programmes.
- Coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics.
- Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure defects are addressed.
- Liaise with the Site Manager/Contracts Manager and provide regular progress updates.
- Ensure RAMS, permits and site procedures are followed.
- Conduct toolbox talks and maintain good site standards.
- Monitor health & safety and report any issues immediately.
- Coordinate multiple trades to avoid clashes and delays.
- Assist with snagging, handover and completion of works.
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Previous experience as a Foreman, Working Foreman or Site Supervisor.
- Strong commercial refurbishment/fit-out background.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades.
- Good understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
- Ability to read drawings and understand construction specifications.
- CSCS card appropriate to the role.
- Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling & Working at Heights is required
- SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
