We are looking for a talented Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team and support the successful delivery of a major capital programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Project Manager looking to take ownership of a portfolio of projects, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

The opportunity:

As a Project Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality objectives. Working within a collaborative project environment, you'll coordinate teams, manage stakeholders, oversee project controls, and drive successful outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll play a key role in ensuring effective governance, risk management, programme delivery, and stakeholder engagement, while championing safety, innovation, and sustainable delivery practices.

The location for this role would be North-West England, with a requirement to be site-based 4 days per week and 1 day flexible/home working.

You’ll be responsible for:

Directing the day-to-day management and delivery of projects from inception through to completion.

Developing, maintaining and updating project plans, programmes, and delivery schedules.

Coordinating project teams, consultants, contractors, and wider stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes.

Monitoring budgets, costs, schedules, risks, and project performance against key milestones.

Supporting procurement activities, including the appointment and management of consultants and contractors.

Managing project governance, reporting, change control, and project documentation.

Managing project meetings, record key actions, and provide accurate progress updates to stakeholders.

Conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure progress, safety, and quality standards are met.

Identifying risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies to support successful delivery.

Managing consultant, contractor, and supply chain performance to achieve project objectives.

Ensuring quality management processes are embedded throughout project delivery.

Promoting digital delivery, innovation, responsible business practices, and sustainability initiatives.

Supporting the industry's transition to net zero through proactive management of carbon reduction opportunities.

You’ll need to have:

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative project professional who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and has experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects.

Experience in a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager role within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or the built environment.

Proven ability to manage small to medium-sized projects through the project lifecycle.

Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and controls.

Experience supporting projects through design, procurement, and construction phases.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Knowledge of construction methodologies, project sequencing, and programme management.

Experience monitoring project budgets, schedules, and risks.

A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.

A degree or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Membership of, or working towards, professional accreditation such as APM, CIOB, RICS, or ICE.

Experience with in construction, infrastructure, property, or consultancy environments.

Knowledge of contract administration, procurement, cost control, and project reporting.

CSCS card (or equivalent) where applicable.
