Estimator, Construction, Quantity Surveyor

A growing construction and property services contractor is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its established pre-construction team

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, maintenance, repairs and planned works projects, producing accurate and commercially competitive tenders that support continued business growth

The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating opportunities, managing the estimating process from enquiry through to submission, and working closely with operational and commercial teams to secure new projects

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of construction projects
Review tender documentation, specifications and scope of works
Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions
Liaise with operational and commercial teams to develop winning tender strategies
Present cost plans and tender recommendations for internal review and approval
Maintain tender records and report on bid performance and success rates
Support the development of supply chain relationships and framework opportunities
Assist with project handovers to delivery and commercial teams following contract award
About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

Previous estimating, quantity surveying or pre-construction experience.

Experience with in construction, maintenance, refurbishment or property services environments.
Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC forms of contract.
Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to strict deadlines.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and estimating software.
Full UK driving licence
