Job purpose
As a Graphic Design Assistant, you will work closely with the Graphic Design Manager to fulfil design requirements from across the college. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative individual with a passion for graphic design to contribute to the visual identity and branding of Media Magic.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Graphic Design Manager to create visually appealing and effective designs for various marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, digital ads, and other promotional materials.
- Assist in conceptualizing and developing design concepts that align with Media Magic's branding guidelines.
- Organise and maintain design files, ensuring they are easily accessible and well‑structured for future reference.
- Version control and archiving of design projects.
- Prepare and format design files for printing, ensuring high‑quality output.
- Collaborate with external print vendors to oversee the production process when necessary.
- Work closely with the marketing team, content creators, and other departments to understand design needs and deliver solutions that meet project objectives.
- Review design briefs and provide input on design concepts and execution.
- Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design.
- Contribute creative ideas and concepts to enhance Media Magic's visual communication.
- Proofread and review designs for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines before finalisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience in graphic design, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including print and digital materials.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of printing processes and production methods is a plus.
- Familiarity with web design and multimedia tools is a bonus.
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per year
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
