Our client a leading building contractor is currently recruiting an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to work on a large-scale social housing kitchens and bathrooms refurbishment project in Liverpool and surrounding areas.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills who is confident dealing with residents, resolving queries and working alongside site teams.

The successful candidate will help ensure residents are kept informed and supported throughout the refurbishment works, acting as an important link between residents, the contractor and the site team.

Resident Liaison Officer

Key Responsibilities

Set up, manage and deliver the Tenant/Customer/Resident Liaison Service across multiple sites.
Maintain regular communication with residents throughout the works.
Provide residents with clear information regarding planned works, schedules and any disruption.
Coordinate appointments and help ensure access to properties.
Act as the main point of contact between residents and site teams.
Attend regular meetings with client representatives and residents.
Deal with resident queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Manage complaints and act as a point of escalation where required.
Support residents throughout the refurbishment process and explain the works being undertaken.
Organise and attend resident meetings, drop-in sessions and engagement events.
Maintain accurate records and update the on-site database throughout the project.
Provide reports on resident feedback, recurring issues and ongoing concerns.
Ensure a consistent and professional approach to customer care at all times.
Resident Liaison Officer Requirements

Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer or in a similar customer-facing role.

Experience with in social housing, housing management or the construction sector is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with residents from a wide range of backgrounds.
Calm and professional approach when dealing with complaints or difficult situations.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a busy workload.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and database systems.
Basic understanding of construction and refurbishment works within social housing.
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential.
Willingness to travel between different sites, sometimes involving journeys of up to one hour.
CSCS Card preferred.
Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling certificates required/preferred.
