HARTS (Hospital Arts at Aintree) aims to provide a fully accessible and community engaging arts programme at Aintree Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals, aiming to improve the health / wellbeing of patients / staff, supporting the aims and values of the NHS.
The range of HARTS projects is developed by the Healing Arts Manager, and is delivered and managed by volunteers from university/college course-related placements, or from a range of other backgrounds for work experience.
The HARTS Artist Practitoner role outline:
- Design plans and painting refresh of Superlambanana and GoPenguin sculptures
- General maintenance of existing sculptural features at Aintree Hospital
- Liaise with Liverpool Hospital Group staff on wards when required
- Opportunity to develop own artwork within the hospital space
