Irwell Ward - Clock View Hospital
S12 - Essential
AC Status/MRCP/CCT - Desirable
Irwell ward is a 17 bedded acute assessment ward for those over 65 years of age with a functional mental health issue.
There is an FY1 and a CT1 in terms of junior medical support.
Please note that this job is deemed as being within IR35 rules for payment via a PSC.

As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews
• Leading treatment planning and clinical decision-making
• Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs
• Liaising with community services and external partners

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• Experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
• A flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach

• CCT in Old Age Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
