Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consultant

We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant in Obs & Gynae on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis.

The O&G department has a well-supported and lovely team at this trust, which consists of eight consultants (one who works less than full-time), 8 specialty doctors, and 6 GPSTS/ST1/2 and FY2 doctors. The successful appointee will take part in a 1:10 'hot week' on call Rota and 1:10 weekend on-call and may at some time in the future be required to be resident on call within the limits of the new Consultant contract.

The unit provides 74.5 hours Consultant presence on Labour Ward by means of a 'Hot Week' from 08:00 hrs - 17:00 hrs with a further presence till 20:30 hrs if 'On-Call'. In addition, we would expect the successful candidate to contribute to other aspects of the management of the department, including audit, teaching, and medical management.
