General Practitioner
to join our experienced and friendly team on a salaried
GP position working 6 sessions per week.
The post holder will support the clinical team to manage a busy and interesting surgery. You will be expected to carry out all the clinical dutiesand responsibilities of an NHS General Practitioner using the standardsexpected by the GMC and RCGP in line with appropriate national and/or localguidelines.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including:
- Surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, triage, home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions.
- We operate a total triage system and the post holder will be expected to take part in on-call or duty doctor responsibilities.
- Making professional autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Record all relevant data to aid the practice in meeting its performance targets.
- Compiling and issuing computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
- Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
- In general, the post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

- Integrated PCN staff first contact physiotherapists, social prescriber and pharmacy technicians
- Dynamic and supportive PCN with integrated PCN staff and services including first contact physiotherapists, social prescriber, health and wellbeing coaches, pharmacy team and womens health hub
