Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Paediatrician to join its specialist clinical team and provide comprehensive, evidence-based paediatric and neonatal care aimed at promoting the health, growth, and development of infants, children, and adolescents, in line with hospital clinical standards.

Reporting to the Medical Superintendent, the Paediatrician will be responsible for:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient paediatric care
- Diagnose and manage neonatal, infant, child, and adolescent illnesses
- Manage paediatric emergencies and critical care cases
- Support neonatal services including newborn resuscitation and care
- Participate in immunization, child welfare, and growth monitoring programs
- Collaborate with obstetric, nursing, and allied health teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in clinical audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives
- Uphold patient safety, ethical standards, and hospital policies
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Master of Medicine (MMed) in Paediatrics and Child Health or equivalent
- Registered and licensed with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
- Valid Annual Practising Licence
- At least 3–5 years post‑specialization experience (added advantage)
- Experience in Neonatal care and paediatric emergencies is an added advantage
- Certification in ATLS/ACLS/PILS/EPALS is an added advantage
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision‑making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to ethical and compassionate paediatric care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
- Leadership and teamwork skills for a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse clinical data and implement improvement plans.
