Engineering Assessor – Tutor / Assessor

We’re on the lookout for Tutors and Assessors in a number of trades, including Electrical, Fabrication and Welding, Pipe fitting and Metal Fabrication.

Location: Birkenhead CH41 5LH
– reliable commute or relocation required before starting work.

Responsibilities:

• Inspire and guide apprentices through their learning journeys, ensuring they develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for success in the electrical engineering field.
• Develop vocational skills and CPD to enrich your knowledge, skills and personal career development.
• Mentor support to on-board you in college's approach to teaching, learning and assessment.
• Support a small, supportive trade team where your specific skillset will complement the existing expertise.

Qualifications:

• Time served Engineer holding at least Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) with industry experience.
• Suitable teacher/assessor qualifications required.
• Licence to drive UK and vehicle access essential for travel across Mersey and Cheshire regions.
• Experience of platforms such as One File and Canvas desirable; good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
