Sociology Teacher (Secondary School)

Rate of Pay: £120 - £150 daily rate based on experience

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday hours will vary depending on the school

Duration: Short term temporary role initially, but will be reviewed periodically

HG Recruitment are recruiting for temporary SOCIOLOGY TEACHER based in a secondary school in Liverpool (QTS required).

• Plan and deliver lessons on sociological theories, research methods, social institutions, culture, inequality, and global issues.
• Develop curricula and teaching materials that engage diverse learners.
• Facilitate class discussions, debates, and activities that encourage analytical thinking and sociological inquiry.
• Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, projects, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students.
• Integrate current events, case studies, and real-world examples into lessons.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of student progress and attendance.
• Manage classroombehaviorand create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Stay current with developments in sociology and incorporate relevant content into teaching.
• Communicate with parents, guardians, or academic advisorsregardingstudent performance (if teaching in a school setting).
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities

• QTS
• Previous Teaching Experience
• Safeguarding level 1 certificate
• Enhanced DBS
