Position:
Middle School Band Teacher, Grades 6‑8
Location:
Soule Road Middle School, Liverpool Central School District, 200 BOCES Drive, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
Anticipated Length:
December 2025 – June 2026. The Liverpool Central School District is seeking a full‑time Regular Substitute Teacher for a middle school (grades 6‑8) band position.
Responsibilities include teaching 6th‑grade band, 7th/8th‑grade band, and small group lessons.
Qualifications
:
- High level of performance on primary instrument.
- Proficiency on secondary instruments.
- Deep understanding of effective instrumental music pedagogy in both large ensemble and small‑group settings.
- Working knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards for the Arts.>
- Appropriate NYS certification.
Anticipated start date is mid‑December and will last for the remainder of the 2025‑26 school year.
