About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Technician to join a secondary school in the Liverpool area as soon as possible. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic professionals who will inspire and nurture the next generation of scientists.

Science Technician

Location: Liverpool, L11

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term

Working Hours: Full time, 8:00am - 4.00pm

Salary: Paid to scale

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up equipment, making up solutions/cultures, ensuring labs are clean
• Clean, maintain and manage resources
• Implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, managing hazardous waste, checking safety equipment (fume cupboards, first aid).
• Assisting teachers with practical's, demonstrating techniques

Requirements:

• Prior experience working with children
• Science background
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Ability to provide two professional references.
