The Deputy Headteacher is a senior strategic and operational leader, working closely with the Headteacher to shape the school’s vision, culture and direction. The role holds day-to-day responsibility for translating strategy into effective practice, ensuring high standards across teaching, pastoral care and student experience. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher provides decisive leadership, oversight and continuity, enabling the school to operate with clarity, consistency and ambition.

The successful candidate will be resilient, values-led and forward-thinking, with a clear commitment to excellence and the ability to make a tangible impact on the daily life and future direction of the school.
The role would particularly suit an ambitious senior leader with aspirations for Headship in the near future, who is excited by the opportunity to help shape and craft the future of a new independent senior school in its first year of operation. This is a rare chance to work alongside the Headteacher in establishing culture, systems and standards from the outset, playing a central role in building a school with clarity of purpose and long-term ambition.
The successful candidate will relish the responsibility, influence and professional growth that comes from contributing meaningfully to the creation of a school at such a formative and defining stage.
