Are you looking for a rewarding part-time teaching opportunity?
Could you support children’s learning by leading the KS2 classes at our established, after-school study support charity?
- 3 hours per week (Thursdays 5.30pm – 7.30pm + preparation)
- Term time only plus up to five training days per year.
CLASSS is a registered charity that has been offering extra study support for children in local communities since 2008. We are a vibrant, diverse organisation, committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where children can build confidence through high quality tutoring in English and Maths. Our weekly classes are run by a team of paid tutors and dedicated volunteers at Technorth in Chapel Allerton.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Stage 2 tutor to join our organisation. This paid role will support our Y3/4 and Y5/6 classes through planning and preparing lessons and resources; leading teaching in the designated class and supporting volunteers to deliver teaching to groups of children. Lessons run for 1.5 hours, giving you an hour each week to plan your session and prepare resources.
This role would suit candidates who have QTS and experience of working with KS2 children. Candidates should have experience of working effectively as part of a team and supporting and deploying other adults. Most importantly, we welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about children achieving their potential.
The closing date for applications will Saturday 28 February at 5pm
.
Please note that CLASSS is committed to the safeguarding of our students and that appointment to this position is subject to Enhanced DBS and Barred List checks.
