Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and passionate GCSE Maths & English Tutor to join our team in Liverpool and St Helens, starting in March 2026. This role involves delivering 1:1 GCSE Maths and English lessons to students in the area. It's ideal for a tutor who can adapt their teaching style to meet individual learning needs and help students build confidence, improve subject knowledge, and achieve academic success.

• Deliver tailored GCSE Maths and English lessons, adjusting content and pace to suit each student's unique learning style.
• Help students develop subject knowledge, study skills, and boost exam confidence.
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment while building positive rapport with students.
• Monitor progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to parents/carers or other professionals.
• Prepare and implement structured learning plans, including a therapeutic approach where appropriate.

• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths and/or English.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Ability to work independently and manage flexible schedules.

• QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education.
• Experience working with learners with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH).

Sessions typically take place during school hours, with occasional after‑school or evening opportunities. Prospero Teaching will provide resources and regular progress monitoring to support your work.
