Complex Needs Education Support Officer – Havering

Protocol Education is working alongside a specialist SEND provision in Havering to appoint a Complex Needs Education Support Officer on a full-time basis.
This school caters for pupils with MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD, and is looking for individuals who are patient, compassionate and committed to helping children with additional needs succeed. You may come from a background in healthcare, social care, residential care, support work — or have personal experience supporting someone with SEND.
In this role, you’ll support students throughout the school day, assisting with learning activities, encouraging independence and, where required, supporting with personal care. Previous school experience is helpful but not essential; attitude and dedication are key.
Position Details:- Full-time, 5 days per week
- 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Long-term and permanent roles available
- Based in Havering
- Builds positive and trusting relationships
- Brings a calm, adaptable and proactive approach
- Is confident supporting pupils with complex needs
- Works well within a team
Qualifications such as Manual Handling, Hoist training, First Aid or Care certificates are advantageous but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
