Aroa Educational Psychology Services Ltd is a specialized multidisciplinary service enabling you to be part of a holistic team. We prioritize a collaborative approach, working closely with key adults to design, implement, and monitor interventions and strategies that support children effectively. As the contracted Educational Psychology service for several Multi-Academy Trusts, we are integrated into their teams to deliver training, create policies, and foster positive outcomes.

Our focus is on enabling meaningful change for children, families, and educators while promoting a proactive and inclusive approach to education.

Role Description

This is a hybrid role based across Greater Manchester and Merseyside with flexibility and work-life balance. The Educational Psychologist will be responsible for assessing and supporting children with a wide range of educational and developmental needs, and depending on skills and experience, will have the chance to oversee out team of Assistent Educational Psychologists.

Day-to-day tasks include conducting psychological assessments, collaborating with schools and families, developing interventions and strategies, delivering training to staff, and contributing to the creation of policies and procedures that promote inclusive practices and support for children. The role requires a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and fostering strong partnerships with schools, families, LAs and other professionals.

We have a well established team of a Direcor and Senior EP, 3 assitant EPs, an SI Occupational Therapist, 2 administrative staff. We also have close linked with our sister service Aroa Specialist Therapeutic Education Team (STET).

Full and Part time roles and salary are negotiable. The role could be considered as an Assosicate EP.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Educational Psychology and Psychology practices, including assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Understanding of Mental Health and support strategies tailored to children and young people.
  • Knowledge and experience in Education and curriculum frameworks as well as Special Education needs and policies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-agency teams, educators, and families to promote inclusion and positive outcomes for all learners.
  • Professional registration with an appropriate regulatory body (e.g., HCPC or equivalent). Holding a postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a hybrid work schedule.
  • Experience with Multi-Academy Trusts or similar educational environments is advantageous but not required.
