As an English Cover Supervisor
, you will:

• Deliver pre-prepared English lessons across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the class teacher.
• Lead engaging sessions that encourage students to develop strong literacy, analysis, and communication skills.
• Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Motivate students and support them in accessing curriculum content.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment where every student feels valued.

This role is ideal for aspiring English teachers, English graduates, or experienced support staff wanting to specialise further in their subject.

• Strong English subject knowledge (essential).
• Experience in a school, tutoring, youth work or similar role (desirable).
• Confident communication and classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for the English curriculum and supporting young people.
• Proactive, reliable and professional demeanour.
