Reception 1:1 Support Assistant – L31 | Make a Meaningful Impact with Milk Education

Are you a nurturing and passionate practitioner with a background in Early Years?

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated Reception 1:1 Support Assistant to work closely with a young boy in a wonderful primary school in the L31 area
. This role is perfect for someone who truly wants to make a difference in a child’s early school journey.

Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Start Date: After February half-term

Contract: Long-Term

Setting: Warm, welcoming, and supportive primary school environment

You will provide tailored 1:1 support, helping the pupil thrive both academically and emotionally through play-based, child-centred learning.

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil.
• Support play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence.
• Foster a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff.
• Use a patient, positive, and compassionate approach at all times.

• Experience working in Early Years is essential.
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children.
• Someone who genuinely wants to make a difference in a child’s early development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
