The RoleMilk Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across secondary schools in Liverpool
. This role is ideal for a confident professional who can support learning, deliver pre-planned lessons and work closely with teachers to raise student attainment.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science and PSHE
, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Work with individuals and small groups to support progress
- Assist with assessment, behaviour management and classroom organisation
- Support pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams
Essential:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Desirable:
- Experience supporting GCSE subjects
- Knowledge of SEND or intervention strategies
- Confidence delivering lessons to whole classes
