Responsibilities
- Deliver and update training courses on a daily basis including actively contributing to the extensive training schedule needed to meet the requirements of projects.
- Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding and detailed knowledge of a range systems and processes. This must be sufficiently comprehensive to be able to deliver training in a range of modules and applications to end users of varying ability and disciplines.
- Contribute to the testing of new systems and equipment to ensure that it is fit for purpose.
- Receive, assess and respond to user queries, providing problem solving support and follow‑up training, if appropriate.
- Assist in designing, planning and delivering refresher training with the key aims of: improving the quality, timeliness and completeness of data collected – enhancing the appreciation of the importance and benefits of accurately recording data.
- Fully support the extensive training schedule needed to fulfil the requirements of identified projects, including: learning all aspects of relevant system functionality and processes – assisting in the planning and delivery of training sessions – contributing to the production of training materials and documentation.
- Have an understanding and up to date knowledge of course content to ensure that training content best suits the candidates’ authorised roles.
- Ensure that all data regarding delegates, training timetable, accommodation, etc. is supplied to the Training Administrators in a timely and complete manner which supports the updating of Training database.
- Evaluate and monitor training, refresher sessions and awareness courses, delivered within the remit of the post, including post‑training feedback.
- Assist in the preparation, updating and editing of training documentation.
- Using operational knowledge assist in identifying staff who would benefit from additional training / support to make more effective use of the systems, processes & applications available to them. This will include identifying areas of good / bad practice and prioritising training accordingly.
- Actively support and contribute to the development and delivery of workshops, presentations, awareness sessions, which promote best practice and demonstrate the scope of the training service provision.
- Assist in the production of regular statistical and activity reports, which help in monitoring the training service provided and its impact on data quality programmes.
- Assist with relevant Training Needs Analysis and designing training methodologies in response to operational requirements.
- Foster a positive approach to change management and offer ongoing support and “hand holding” to staff involved.
- The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the quality standards required of the team.
- The post holder will support the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators and Critical Success Factors within the service.
- The post holder will be required to support delivery against these targets and the production of regular reports relating to performance and supporting information to explain improvements or degradation in service.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with extensive experience of the Trusts IT systems used for Outpatient Administration. The ideal post holder will have extensive knowledge of iPM, e-Referral Service (e-RS), MS Office and other Trust IT applications and will have experience using them on a daily basis within an Outpatient setting. The post holder will have the confidence to train staff on a one to one basis and in large numbers.
They will be able to work autonomously. There will be an expectation to travel to other Trust sites to train staff and also support in supervisory cover.
- HND/equivalent
