Epilepsy Trained Teaching Assistant

I C Talent are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Epilepsy Trained Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school recently rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with epilepsy and complex needs to make a meaningful impact within a highly regarded specialist setting.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including those with epilepsy
• Monitor pupils' wellbeing and confidently follow individual healthcare and epilepsy care plans
• Support teaching and learning activities under the guidance of class teachers and SEN professionals
• Implement behaviour and communication strategies tailored to individual needs
• Respond calmly and effectively to seizures in line with training and school procedures
• Promote inclusion, independence, and positive engagement in learning

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within SEN or specialist settings
• Epilepsy awareness and practical training (essential)
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
