Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight of wraparound/school-age childcare provision, including mapping need and informing funding allocation
  • Consult with parents/carers and providers to understand demand and shape development
  • Ensure effective engagement with schools, providers, and partners to support the delivery of childcare programmes
  • Deliver business support, planning, and advice to develop and sustain childcare provision
  • Support national initiatives, including the Free Breakfast Club Programme, through guidance and best practice sharing
  • Deliver activity to increase demand, including promotion through Family Information Services and awareness of financial support
  • Support, challenge, and provide quality assurance to providers to maintain high standards and drive improvement
  • Monitor, report, and ensure oversight of sufficiency, sustainability, take‑up, and funding to the Department for Education
  • Collaborate with the HAF Project Manager and partners to ensure aligned, inclusive, and sustainable provision in term time and during the holidays
  • Deliver partnership working across sectors to support children and families
  • Provide expertise in childcare delivery, Ofsted requirements, and quality frameworks

Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months covering maternity leave.
