Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Key Stage 4 (KS4)

We are seeking a warm, proactive, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support Key Stage 4 (KS4) pupils on their journey towards greater confidence, independence, and achievement. You will be working alongside an experienced and dedicated staff team in a setting that values every learner as an individual and is committed to helping young people build brighter futures.

This is a whole class Learning Support Assistant position, supporting pupils in their personalised learning pathways focusing on progress, achievement, and future success.

The curriculum includes vocational qualifications in Art, Construction Skills, and Hair and Beauty, Food, and functional skills English, Maths, and Science.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils engage with learning, overcome barriers, and experience success.

You will:

* Support pupils within lessons and across the wider school day.

* Encourage engagement, participation, and positive learning behaviours.

* Provide academic support across a range of curriculum areas.

* Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.

* Promote confidence, resilience, independence, and self-belief.

* Support pupils with SEND, SEMH needs, and other barriers to learning.

* Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure every pupil receives the support they need.

* Celebrate achievements and help pupils recognise their own progress and strengths.
