A forward-thinking secondary school in Liverpool is seeking to appoint a skilled and innovative Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in Engineering from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through practical learning and help develop the next generation of engineers, designers, and problem-solvers.

The Opportunity- Full‑time DT teaching role starting in September
- Opportunity to teach Engineering and Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Access to specialist equipment, workshops, and classroom resources

- Deliver engaging and practical Design Technology and Engineering lessons
- Encourage creativity, technical understanding, and problem‑solving skills within the classroom
- Prepare students for coursework, practical assessments, and examinations
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement
Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and practical skills
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting
- Has a strong understanding of Engineering principles and practical workshop skills
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication abilities
- Is passionate about technical education and inspiring students through practical learning
- Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a proactive approach to teaching and learning
