Chilwell School is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive School Support Assistant to join our successful team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young people and is committed to supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy secondary school. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, positive and well‑organised environment for students and staff throughout the school day.
The role includes supervising students during break and lunchtime, supporting student welfare, assisting with administrative and operational tasks, and helping to ensure that communal areas across the school remain welcoming, safe and well‑presented. You will work closely with colleagues across the school to provide flexible support wherever it is needed, contributing to a positive experience for all members of our school community.

- Can build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
- Is calm, approachable and able to work effectively in a busy environment.
- Is organised, reliable and flexible in their approach to work.
- Can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Has experience of working with young people, in a school environment or in a customer service role (desirable).
- Holds a First Aid qualification or is willing to undertake training (desirable).
