Salary Details: T22 - T25 Bar T26 - T29 (currently £29,440 - £36,573 pro rata)
This is an 8-point extended scale with annual incremental progression. Please note that progression beyond the bar is subject to an internal set of conditions. Starting salaries will be assessed in accordance with the College’s starting salaries matrix.
Hours of Work: Part time - 0.8 FTE
Contract Type: Permanent
Qualifications:
- You will hold a minimum Level 3 NVQ in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery, or Advanced Craft Carpentry & Joinery
- You will hold a recognised Teaching or Training Qualification e.g., Award in Education and Training (AET). If not currently held, you will be required to undertake and achieve the AET qualification during employment which will be fully funded by Pembrokeshire College.
Experience:
- You will have significant (ideally at least 5 years’) recent, relevant industrial experience.
The Construction Department enjoys excellent success rates for full time learners and apprentices aged 16
-19, and is consistently amongst the best in Wales. The successful candidate will join a strong and dynamic team that puts the learners’ progress at the heart of their efforts and you will have a desire to pass on valuable practical experience to others. The role will mainly involve delivering and assessing practical workshop sessions along with providing appropriate guidance and support.
As well as a commitment to teaching young people how to deliver a quality product, the successful applicant will need to be comfortable with information technology as the college is devoted to the use of innovative teaching methods and electronic communication.

All Further Education Lecturers, Further Education Support Workers and Work-based Learning Practitioners in Wales are required to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), prior to commencing employment. This is to be paid for by the individual at a cost of £45 for Further Education Lecturers and Work-based Learning Practitioners and £15 for Further Education Support Workers.
