Overview
Volunteer Education Mentor for The King’s Trust Mosaic programme, working with learners aged 11‑18 in Liverpool schools during the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role involves delivering eight mentoring sessions over eight weeks, supporting two programmes per academic year and attending at least six of the eight Mosaic sessions.
Commitment & Schedule- In‑person mandatory training at the King’s Trust Liverpool centre
- Up to 3 hours of online training
- Each programme runs 8 weeks with approximately 1 hour per week of lessons in schools
- Additional planning and preparation time; expected to support two programmes each academic year and attend at least six of the eight Mosaic sessions per programme
- Facilitate group mentoring sessions covering communication, goal setting, problem solving, and self‑belief
- Build rapport with a consistent group of learners and maintain connections throughout the programme
- Plan, deliver and evaluate sessions, collaborating with the King’s Trust Youth Development Lead
- Support the ‘World of Work’ visit at the end of each project, providing participants with employment exposure
- Excellent communicator and confident group facilitator
- Passion for working with young people and driving personal development
- Willingness to adapt, collaborate and try new approaches
- Educational background not required; genuine interest in engaging learners essential
Full training will be provided, including an introductory session at the local office and ongoing support from a King’s Trust Youth Development Lead. All teaching materials and session guides are supplied.
