Curriculum and Quality Manager - Maths and English

About the Role

Lead the delivery and quality of Maths and English across all Access Sport sites, ensuring outstanding teaching, learning and assessment that enables students to achieve their full potential. Provide leadership, coaching and support to staff and drive continuous improvement informed by evidence based practice in FE. This is a hybrid role and will require regular travel between sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and improve the quality of Maths and English provision across all sites
  • Lead staff development, sharing best practice and innovation
  • Lead tracking and monitoring of learner progress and outcomes
  • Support site leaders and Area Managers to improve performance using data and evidence
  • Lead evaluation, impact reporting and contribute to organisational reporting
  • Develop and implement the Maths and English Strategy and curriculum design
  • Lead quality assurance activity including observations, learning walks and walkthroughs
  • Provide feedback, coaching and CPD to improve teaching and learning
  • Oversee internal verification and standardisation activity
What we are looking for
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and influence
  • Significant experience in Further Education with a strong track record of improving outcomes
  • Experience of teaching Maths or English across FE levels
  • Strong understanding of GCSE Maths and or English curriculum and FE sector needs
  • Ability to use data and evidence to drive improvement
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Degree or equivalent qualification or experience
