Behaviour Specialist

A mainstream primary school in Liverpool is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to support pupils with complex behavioural needs. This role demands resilience, initiative, and a deep commitment to helping young people re‑engage with learning.

What you’ll be doing :

Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, trauma, and challenging behaviours
Leading de‑escalation, regulation, and restorative strategies
Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, structured environment
Building trust and consistency through clear boundaries and positive relationships

What we’re looking for:

Experience in PRUs, SEMH schools, or youth work settings
Confidence in managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation
A proactive, solution‑focused mindset and strong team ethic
Ability to stay calm, consistent, and compassionate in high‑pressure situations
