An exciting opportunity has arisen for an I.T. and Computing Lecturer at the City of Liverpool College. As part of the Digital, Media & Expressive Arts Academy, you will be an inspiration to your students and will contribute to achieving excellence in teaching and learning using innovative and emerging technologies. You will have an excellent up to date skillset including Cyber Security, Programming, Data Bases and A/I.
You will deliver a curriculum that is cutting‑edge as we prepare our learners for an ever‑growing Digital world. We are looking for motivated individuals who have excellent interpersonal skills and can engage, motivate and inspire our students.
We offer a range of courses within the Academy including L1 Digital and computing technologies, L2 I.T, L3, T-Levels in Digital Software Development. We also offer a range of Higher Education Programmes.

Key Responsibilities To contribute to the College and curriculum area strategic objectives and to actively engage in the annual reviewTo be aware of national developments in subject area and update knowledge and skills on an annual basisTo plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons in order to achieve effective management of the learning processPlan and use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques to engage and motivate students and encourage independence and student autonomyEstablish a purposeful and motivating learning environment where students feel safe, secure, confident and valuedEstablish and maintain procedures with students which promote and maintain appropriate behaviour, communication and respect for others, while challenging discriminatory behaviour and attitudesTo set and mark work in accordance with College and School Assessment policies, to record work carried out and assessment of sameTo track all students’ progress and attendance in accordance with agreed College systems and policiesTo provide a balance of appropriate teaching styles and learning experiencesTo be aware of external/internal assessment procedures and to play an appropriate part in their implementationEvaluate and improve own communication skills to maximise effective communication and overcome barriersTo liaise with Head of School in contributing to the design of programmes and teaching approaches which will enable curriculum areas to achieve high standards and value addedTo liaise with Head of School and curriculum teams in contributing to the administration necessary to support the teaching, learning and assessment within the subject areaTo work with colleagues with relevant expertise to identify and address additional student English and Maths skills development in subject areaTo review own professional development needs and to participate fully in future training and developmentTo communicate and consult with parents, carers and students including Parent’s Evening, Welcome Evenings, events and open eveningsTo ensure that all students in the subject area comply with College’s policies and proceduresTo provide enrichment opportunities that are exciting, motivating and enhance the student experienceProfessional Practice and Values
