Multi Skills Lecturer in Construction
Closing date: 21/07/2026 23:59.
Pay range: £26,687 to £41,413 per annum, with potential targeted retention incentive payments for eligible subjects.
Hours:
37 hours per week (annualised over 52 weeks).
Location:
Malvern Campus, with occasional travel to other campuses.
- Deliver and manage high quality, relevant teaching and learning in construction.
- Develop and manage efficient and effective non‑guided learning.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of new and existing courses/qualifications.
- Produce learning materials and keep up to date with new developments.
- Assist with administrative requirements of the post.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion practices.
- Participate in the College’s performance management, CPD, quality system and other relevant activities.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. Construction).
- Current teaching qualification, or willingness to obtain the Certificate in Education and Training within 2 years of appointment.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- Relevant subject knowledge and experience in construction or related discipline.
- Subject to the College’s Conditions of Service for academic staff.
- Probationary period of 9 months, including induction and required training (e.g., Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding, GDPR).
- Annual leave: 37 days, plus eight public holidays and five concessionary days.
- Pension:
Teachers’ Pension Scheme. - Employment will be subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check, references and qualification validation.
- Salary will be placed within the advertised band and increases annually.
- Eligible subjects:
Building and Construction, Computing (Digital/ICT), Early Years, Engineering & Manufacturing (including Transport & Electronics), Maths, Physics. - Successful delivery of eligible subjects may result in financial incentives.
