Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Merseyside to recruit a Maths Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Maths graduate, aspiring teacher, or experienced Maths Teacher with strong knowledge of mathematics and numeracy who is keen to inspire students, develop problem‑solving skills, and support academic achievement across KS3 and KS4.
This role is open to both recent graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience and experienced teachers seeking their next opportunity within secondary education. Whether you are beginning your teaching journey or bringing established classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.
The Role as a Maths TeacherAs a Maths Teacher, you will work with students across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that build confidence in mathematics and encourage logical thinking, reasoning, and problem‑solving. You may also support students preparing for assessments or GCSE-level Maths qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing numeracy, reasoning, and analytical skills
- Prepare pupils for assessments, examinations, and GCSE coursework
- Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs
- Encourage participation and positive behaviour through engaging teaching strategies
- Track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Build positive relationships to motivate and inspire learners
- Promote confidence and resilience within the classroom environment
- A degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related subject, or previous experience teaching Maths
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics
- Experience teaching or working with secondary‑aged students is desirable
- Open to both recent graduates and experienced teachers
- Confident, adaptable, and engaging communication style
- Passion for education and supporting young people
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
