About the Opportunity

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the Speke area seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive school environment where pupil achievement, wellbeing, and inclusion are at the heart of everything they do. The school is looking for a committed individual who can provide high-quality classroom support and help pupils build confidence in their learning as they begin the new academic year.

The Role

As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely alongside class teachers to support pupils across Years 3–6. Your role will involve assisting with lesson delivery, supporting small group interventions, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment that enables pupils to reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and activities.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Contributing to an inclusive and welcoming learning environment.
Person Specification

We would love to hear from candidates who:

  • Have previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
  • Are patient, caring, and passionate about supporting young learners.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can use initiative and adapt to the needs of pupils and the classroom.
  • Are committed to helping every child succeed.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
