The RoleAs a General Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers in KS1to provide consistent, compassionate support throughout the school day. You will help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
- Assist with sensory integration, communication needs, and emotional regulation
- Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
- Foster pupil independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
- Experience supporting children within the last 12 months with a school, nursery, youth centre, community, social care setting or similar
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and making a positive difference
