Position: Teacher of the Deaf (Part Time 0.6)

Knotty Ash Primary School is seeking a committed and specialist Teacher of the Deaf to join our highly regarded Deaf Resource Base (DRB). Working as part of a skilled and supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and enabling Deaf pupils to thrive both academically and socially.

About the Role

You will:

  • Deliver specialist teaching tailored to Deaf pupils’ individual language and learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with mainstream staff to provide an inclusive, broad and balanced curriculum
  • Support Deaf pupils within mainstream classrooms and lead reverse inclusion opportunities
  • Assess, monitor and track progress, setting targeted interventions to accelerate outcomes
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive Deaf identity and inclusive school culture
