Teaching Assistant focuses on support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a nurturing school setting in south liverpool.
What the role involves- Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a nurturing school setting in South Liverpool.
- Provide tailored one-to-one and group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Help create a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment.
- Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour.
- Encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation strategies.
- Promote engagement, motivation, and confidence in learning.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- This is a full-time, temp to perm role for September 2026.
- Speedy registration process & fast-track compliance – APSCo Compliance+ accredited for the highest safer recruitment standards.
- Flexible days and working hours to suit your schedule.
- 5+ CPD courses completed before placement (including Safeguarding, SEND & Behaviour) with access to further accredited training through Milk Academy.
- patience, clear communication, classroom awareness, and confidence supporting learners
